Block magnets are also an excellent base for building your own magnetic separators – by arranging them in the appropriate way (e.g., in a Halbach array), one can create a very effective filter catching metal filings from conveyor belts or chutes.
Remember that two plate magnets put together "face-to-face" (with opposite poles) create a system with significantly greater attraction force than a single magnet, which allows for power scaling without the need to purchase a new, larger block. The application in printing is also wide – these magnets are ideal for closing folders, decorative boxes (packaging), or sample books. The flat surface allows them to be easily hidden under paper or veneer, giving the effect of a "magical" closure.
