How accessible dhit.pl is, and what we are still improving

We want everyone to be able to use dhit.pl, including people who rely on screen readers, magnification or the keyboard alone. Below is the actual state of things, without rounding in our favour.

Conformance status

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. We found no critical accessibility errors; however, some elements do not reach the required contrast ratio — see the limitations below.

Testing was carried out with axe-core on seven pages representing every page type on the site: the home page, a product listing, a product page, the price list, a technical page, the contact form and the basket. Criteria from WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA, were checked.

What works

All photographs and technical drawings have alternative text for screen readers.
The site contains no accessibility error rated as critical.
Buttons and links have names readable by a screen reader, including those labelled with an icon only.
Touch targets in the header meet the recommended size of 44 by 44 pixels.
The heading structure reflects how the content is organised, which helps navigation on long technical pages.
Specification tables scale on small screens and can be scrolled horizontally.

Known limitations

The items below do not yet meet the requirements. We are working on them.

Link contrast. The blue link colour on a light grey background reaches a ratio of 4.26 against the required 4.5. This affects breadcrumbs and some in-text links.
Touch target size on product listings. Some controls are smaller than 24 by 24 pixels. This is a WCAG 2.2 requirement, newer than the 2.1 level declared here.
Footer contrast. Light text on a blue background reaches 3.94 against the required 4.5.
Embedded video. One video frame lacks a title describing its content.

Dhit sp. z o.o. is a micro-enterprise, and the Polish Act of 26 April 2024 on accessibility requirements for certain products and services exempts micro-enterprises from obligations relating to services. We therefore publish this information voluntarily, because we believe our customers should know what to expect from the site.
