Through-hole magnetic holders – screw mounting

solid fastening with a bolt or screw

  • Hole type: straight through or countersunk for screw head.

  • Protection: steel cup protecting the magnet from impacts.

  • Installation: permanent screwing to non-magnetic base (wood, plastic).

  • Efficiency: reinforced magnetic system (armature).

  • Purpose: door stops, flap holders, cover mounting.

  • Quality: resistance to cracks when tightening (thanks to housing).

Through-hole magnetic holders are a solution for those who need a solid magnetic point permanently screwed on. Unlike bare ring magnets, these holders are placed in a steel cup. This is a key difference: steel protects the brittle neodymium magnet from cracking when tightening the screw and focuses the magnetic field, increasing the attraction force of the held element (e.g., metal cabinet door).

Application in industry and workshop:
The through hole allows the use of a bolt with a cylindrical head, countersunk head, or rivet, depending on the model. They are commonly used as door stops, elements holding inspection flaps in machines, as well as mounting bases in welding and carpentry fixtures. Thanks to the flat construction, they take up little space, offering very high lifting capacity at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Choose a device designed for the intended handling task and check its rated conditions, attachment point and the steel being gripped. A basic permanent-magnet holder is not a certified device for lifting a load over people.

Compare the catalogue pull rating with the actual steel thickness, surface condition, gap and load direction. Grip along a vertical surface differs from perpendicular pull. Add an independent mechanical safeguard where falling would cause harm.

Check the coating, housing and permitted operating conditions on the individual product card. Rubber can help protect a painted surface, but do not assume that every holder is suitable for permanent immersion or salt spray.

Select an internal or external thread to match the part being attached. Then check the holder dimensions, pull rating, surface condition and moisture protection. Dirt and gaps can reduce practical grip.
