Cookie policy

This Policy defines the rules for creating, storing, and accessing information on the User's devices using Cookies files in order to provide services requested by the User electronically.

General provisions

  • The Administrator, in order to provide services electronically, creates and stores temporary files on User's devices and accesses selected information.
  • Cookies - binary data, most often small text files, stored and kept on User's devices, which are used in programming languages to facilitate the communication between the website and the user.
  • Cookies files created on user devices can come from both the Administrator system
  • (own cookies) as well as from external monitoring programs used in Internet communication
  • (external cookies, e.g., from Google services and others).
  • The User has the possibility to limit or disable access to cookies files on their Device. In the case of using this option, the use of the Service will be possible, except for functions that inherently require cookies files.

Purposes of using cookies

  • Cookies and similar technologies are used on websites to ensure the proper transmission of data between connected computers. They have a very wide range of applications, help to adjust the content of the page to the settings on the recipient's computer, remember the preferred appearance of the page, e.g., the set font size, and ensure the execution of multi-stage actions by the user (e.g., adding an article, making a purchase in an online store). Cookies can also be used to customize the displayed advertisements to the interests of website visitors. It can be said that the "cookie" technology is necessary for the proper display of interactive pages.
  • In addition to cookies sent from the website we connect to, cookies may also be sent from servers of the websites we refer to, e.g., Google, YouTube, or social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and others.
  • In general, cookies can be divided into two types of files:
    • session cookies: they are stored on the User's Device and remain there until the end of the session of the given browser. The saved information is then permanently deleted from the Device's memory. The session cookies mechanism does not allow for the collection of any personal data or any confidential information from the User's Device.
    • persistent cookies: they are stored on the User's Device and remain there until they are deleted. Ending the session of the given browser or turning off the Device does not cause their deletion from the User's Device. The persistent cookies mechanism does not allow for the collection of any personal data or any confidential information from the User's Device.
  • Under normal circumstances, the use of cookies is safe for the user. When used correctly, it is not possible for viruses or other unwanted or malicious software to enter the User's Devices. These files allow for the identification of the software used by the User. Cookies usually contain the domain name they come from, the storage time on the Device (which is limited), and the assigned value (key).
  • Cookies do not collect any personal data, including names and email addresses.
  • Each user can change the cookie settings in their web browser, including completely disabling the possibility of saving them. If the user does not disable the storage of cookies from various websites, it means in practice that they consent to their storage and keeping on their computer.
  • The User can delete cookies at any time using the available functions in the web browser they use.
  • Methods for disabling or changing settings for the most popular web browsers:
    • Google Chrome - the default settings of the Google Chrome browser allow for storing cookies. To change the settings, you should:
      • click on the "Google Chrome Settings" menu and select "Settings"
      • click on "Show advanced settings" at the bottom of the page
      • select "Content settings" in the "Privacy" section
      • select the desired settings
      • to enter special settings for a specific website, click on "Manage exceptions" and select your own settings for the websites
      • click "Done" to confirm the changes.
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer - the default settings of the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser allow for storing cookies but block files that may come from websites that do not adhere to the privacy policy. To change the settings, you should:
      • click on the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options"
      • select the "Privacy" tab
      • use the slider to set the desired level of settings (the highest one completely blocks cookies, the lowest one allows for storing all cookies).
    • Mozilla Firefox - the default settings of the Mozilla Firefox browser allow for storing cookies. To change the settings, you should:
      • click on the "Tools" menu (in other versions, click on the "Firefox" button) and select "Options"
      • then select the "Privacy" tab and mark the desired settings
      • to enter special settings for a specific website, click on "Exceptions" and select your own settings for the websites
      • confirm the changes by clicking the "OK" button.
    • Opera - the default settings of the Opera browser allow for storing cookies. To change the settings, you should:
      • click on "Preferences", select "Advanced", and then "Cookies"
      • mark the desired settings
      • to enter special settings for a specific website, go to the selected website, right-click on it, select "Preferences for websites", go to the "Cookies" tab, and enter the desired settings
      • confirm the changes by clicking the "OK" button.
    • Safari - the default settings of the Safari browser allow for storing cookies. To change the settings, you should:
      • in the "Safari" menu, select "Preferences"
      • click on the "Privacy" icon
      • mark the desired settings
      • to enter special settings for a specific website, click on "Details" and select your own settings for the websites.
  • If you decide to reject all cookies, it will not be possible to use some content and services provided on our websites, especially those that require logging in and subsequently carrying out, for example, transaction purchase in an online store. However, disabling cookies does not prevent browsing the majority of websites.
  • It should be noted that the cookie technology is used by hackers to infect computers and introduce malicious software. The cookie technology, which is intended to ensure proper communication with the website server, is misused in this case. Protection against such attacks, as well as other forms of hacking attempts, should always primarily include good antivirus protection software.
  • The cookie technology is the "salt" of the internet today - in a positive sense. Without cookies, many websites would become significantly less rich.
