Benefits
- They virtually do not lose strength, because even after ten years the performance loss is only ~1% (based on calculations),
- They do not lose their magnetic properties even under strong external field,

Cons
- At very strong impacts they can crack, therefore we recommend placing them in steel cases. A metal housing provides additional protection against damage, as well as increases the magnet's durability.
- NdFeB magnets lose power when exposed to high temperatures. After reaching 80°C, many of them experience permanent weakening of strength (a factor is the shape and dimensions of the magnet). We offer magnets specially adapted to work at temperatures up to 230°C marked [AH], which are extremely resistant to heat
- Magnets exposed to a humid environment can corrode. Therefore while using outdoors, we advise using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic or other material resistant to moisture
- We recommend a housing - magnetic mechanism, due to difficulties in creating threads inside the magnet and complex shapes.
- Health risk related to microscopic parts of magnets are risky, when accidentally swallowed, which becomes key in the aspect of protecting the youngest. It is also worth noting that small components of these devices can be problematic in diagnostics medical after entering the body.

Best holding force of the magnet in ideal parameters – what it depends on?
- with the contact of a sheet made of special test steel, guaranteeing maximum field concentration

Lifting capacity in practice – influencing factors
- Distance – the presence of foreign body (paint, tape, air) interrupts the magnetic circuit, which lowers power steeply (even by 50% at 0.5 mm).
- Angle of force application – highest force is obtained only during pulling at a 90° angle. The force required to slide of the magnet along the surface is typically several times lower (approx. 1/5 of the lifting capacity).
- Substrate thickness – for full efficiency, the steel must be sufficiently thick. Paper-thin metal restricts the attraction force (the magnet "punches through" it).
- Steel type – mild steel gives the best results. Higher carbon content reduce magnetic properties and holding force.
- Surface condition – ground elements ensure maximum contact, which increases field saturation. Uneven metal reduce efficiency.
- Temperature – heating the magnet causes a temporary drop of induction. It is worth remembering the maximum operating temperature for a given model.
Lifting capacity was assessed with the use of a smooth steel plate of optimal thickness (min. 20 mm), under perpendicular pulling force, whereas under parallel forces the load capacity is reduced by as much as fivefold. Additionally, even a small distance between the magnet’s surface and the plate reduces the holding force.
Precautions when working with neodymium magnets
Electronic hazard
Powerful magnetic fields can erase data on payment cards, HDDs, and storage devices. Maintain a gap of at least 10 cm.
Flammability
Mechanical processing of neodymium magnets carries a risk of fire hazard. Neodymium dust reacts violently with oxygen and is difficult to extinguish.
Respect the power
Before starting, read the rules. Uncontrolled attraction can destroy the magnet or injure your hand. Be predictive.
Hand protection
Big blocks can smash fingers in a fraction of a second. Do not put your hand between two strong magnets.
Precision electronics
A strong magnetic field disrupts the functioning of compasses in smartphones and navigation systems. Do not bring magnets close to a device to avoid breaking the sensors.
Adults only
Product intended for adults. Tiny parts can be swallowed, leading to serious injuries. Store away from kids and pets.
Shattering risk
Despite the nickel coating, neodymium is delicate and cannot withstand shocks. Do not hit, as the magnet may crumble into sharp, dangerous pieces.
Operating temperature
Avoid heat. Neodymium magnets are susceptible to heat. If you require operation above 80°C, look for HT versions (H, SH, UH).
Warning for heart patients
Medical warning: Strong magnets can deactivate pacemakers and defibrillators. Stay away if you have electronic implants.
Allergic reactions
Allergy Notice: The nickel-copper-nickel coating consists of nickel. If an allergic reaction happens, cease working with magnets and wear gloves.
