Neodymium magnets MP 22x6x10 / N38 in a ring-shaped form are commonly used in various industries due to their unique properties. Thanks to a powerful magnetic field of ${capacity} kg, which can be described as force, they are very helpful in applications that require high magnetic power in a relatively small area. Applications of MP 22x6x10 / N38 magnets include electrical mechanisms, generators, sound devices, and numerous other devices that use magnets for generating motion or storing energy. Despite their significant strength, they have a comparatively low weight of ${weight} grams, which makes them more practical compared to bulkier alternatives.

Advantages and disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose their strength (of the magnet). After about 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are exceptionally resistant to demagnetization caused by an external magnetic field,
  • By applying a shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They exhibit very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • By using an appropriate combination of materials, they can achieve significant thermal resistance, allowing them to operate at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping and the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes and sizes, which enhances their versatility in applications.
  • Significant importance in advanced technologically fields – are utilized in hard drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical equipment or other advanced devices.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are prone to breaking as they are extremely fragile when subjected to a powerful impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, it is suggested using magnets in a steel housing. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and also increases its overall strength,
  • High temperatures can reduce the strength of neodymium magnets. Typically, after heating above 80°C, most of them experience a permanent reduction in strength (although it is dependent on the form and size). To prevent this, we offer special magnets marked with the symbol [AH], which are highly resistant to high temperatures. They can operate even at temperatures up to 230°C, making them an ideal solution for applications requiring high-temperature operation,
  • They rust in a humid environment - during outdoor use, we recommend using waterproof magnets, such as those made of rubber or plastic,
  • The use of a cover or a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited possibilities of manufacturing threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk associated with microscopic parts of magnets are risky, when accidentally ingested, which is particularly important in the context of children's health. It's also worth noting that small elements of these devices have the potential to be problematic in medical diagnosis when they are in the body.

Handle Neodymium Magnets with Caution

Neodymium magnets can attract to each other, pinch the skin, and cause significant swellings.

In the case of placing a finger in the path of a neodymium magnet, in that situation, a cut or even a fracture may occur.

Avoid bringing neodymium magnets close to a phone or GPS.

Magnetic fields generated by neodymium magnets interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are highly flammable.

Avoid drilling or mechanical processing of neodymium magnets. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be placed near a computer HDD, TV, and wallet.

Strong fields generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic storage media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, video tapes, or other similar devices. They can also damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors, and CRT displays. Avoid placing neodymium magnets in close proximity to electronic devices.

Keep neodymium magnets away from people with pacemakers.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This happens because such devices have a function to deactivate them in a magnetic field.

Magnets should not be treated as toys. Therefore, it is not recommended for youngest children to have access to them.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. You cannot allow them to become toys for children. In such a situation, surgery is necessary to remove them. In the worst case scenario, it can result in death.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest, most remarkable magnets on earth, and the surprising force between them can surprise you at first.

To use magnets properly, it is best to familiarize yourself with our information beforehand. This will help you avoid significant harm to your body and the magnets themselves.

Avoid contact with neodymium magnets if you have a nickel allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, try wearing gloves or avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnetic are characterized by being fragile, which can cause them to become damaged.

In the event of a collision between two neodymium magnets, it can result in them getting chipped. They are coated with a shiny nickel plating similar to steel, but they are not as hard. In the case of a collision between two magnets, there can be a scattering of small sharp metal fragments in different directions. Protecting your eyes is essential.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

While Neodymium magnets can demagnetize at high temperatures, it's important to note that the extent of this effect can vary based on factors such as the magnet's material, shape, and intended application.
