Due to unique properties, MP 15x7/3.5x5 / N38 in a ring form finds extensive use in various industries. Thanks to a powerful magnetic field of 1.10 kg, which can be described as strength, they are extremely useful in applications that require strong magnetism in a compact space. Applications of MP 15x7/3.5x5 / N38 magnets include electric motors, generators, sound devices, and many other devices that use magnets for generating motion or storing energy. Despite their significant strength, they have a relatively low weight of 6.16 grams, which makes them more convenient to use compared to heavier alternatives.

Shopping tips

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

In addition to immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose their power (of the magnet). After approximately 10 years, their power decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are exceptionally resistant to demagnetization caused by an external magnetic field,
  • By applying a shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Magnetic neodymium magnets are characterized by very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet and can operate (depending on the form) even at temperatures of 230°C or higher...
  • The ability for precise shaping and customization to specific needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in a wide range of shapes and sizes, which amplifies their universality in usage.
  • Key role in the industry of new technologies – find application in HDD drives, electric motors, medical devices and very modern machines.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break as they are fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a metal holder. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and also increases its overall strength,
  • They lose strength at high temperatures. Most neodymium magnets experience permanent loss of strength when heated above 80°C (depending on the shape and height). However, we also offer special magnets with high temperature resistance, up to 230°C,
  • Due to their susceptibility to corrosion in a humid environment, we recommend using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials when using them outdoors,
  • The use of a cover or a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited possibilities of manufacturing threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk associated with microscopic parts of magnets can be dangerous, if swallowed, which is particularly important in the aspect of protecting young children. It's also worth noting that miniscule components of these products can hinder the diagnostic process when they are in the body.

Handle Neodymium Magnets Carefully

The magnet coating is made of nickel, so be cautious if you have an allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets are the most powerful magnets ever invented. Their strength can shock you.

Make sure to review all the information we have provided. This will help you avoid harm to your body and damage to the magnets.

Neodymium magnets are not recommended for people with pacemakers.

Neodymium magnets generate strong magnetic fields. As a result, they interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This happens because such devices have a function to deactivate them in a magnetic field.

Keep neodymium magnets away from TV, wallet, and computer HDD.

Strong magnetic fields emitted by neodymium magnets can destroy magnetic storage media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, video tapes, or other devices. They can also damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors, and CRT displays. Avoid placing neodymium magnets in close proximity to electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets are incredibly delicate, they easily fall apart as well as can become damaged.

Neodymium magnets are highly fragile, and by joining them in an uncontrolled manner, they will crumble. Neodymium magnets are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel, but they are not as durable as steel. At the moment of connection between the magnets, sharp metal fragments can be dispersed in different directions.

Magnets are not toys, children should not play with them.

Not all neodymium magnets are toys, so do not let children play with them. In the case of small magnets, they can be swallowed and cause choking. In such cases, the only solution is to undergo surgery to remove the magnets, and otherwise, it can even lead to death.

Neodymium magnets can attract to each other, pinch the skin, and cause significant swellings.

Magnets attract each other within a distance of several to about 10 cm from each other. Don't put your fingers in the path of magnet attraction, because a serious injury may occur. Depending on how massive the neodymium magnets are, they can lead to a cut or alternatively a fracture.

Keep neodymium magnets away from GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation for air and sea transport, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

Under specific conditions, Neodymium magnets may experience demagnetization when subjected to high temperatures.
