The most recommended holders for ID badges include options such as this UI 45x13x6 [C323] / N38. They offer security and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic mounts are valued as ideal because they are gentle on clothing, are user-friendly, and provide stable badge attachment. A model utilizing potent neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is exceptionally suggested.
No!, magnetic holders should not be used for individuals with cardiac pacemakers, as the strong magnetic field may interfere with their functioning. In such cases, it is recommended to use non-magnetic holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose power over time - after approximately 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They protect against demagnetization caused by external magnetic sources extremely well,
  • Thanks to the shiny finish and nickel, gold, or silver coating, they have an aesthetic appearance,
  • They exhibit extremely high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • Due to the option of accurate forming and adaptation to individual needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes and sizes, which expands the range of their possible uses.
  • Significant importance in the industry of new technologies – are utilized in hard drives, electric motors, medical devices and various technologically advanced devices.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a steel housing. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and at the same time increases its overall strength,
  • Magnets lose their strength due to exposure to high temperatures. In most cases, when the temperature exceeds 80°C, these magnets experience permanent reduction in strength (although it is worth noting that this is dependent on the shape and size of the magnet). To avoid this problem, we offer special magnets marked with the [AH] symbol, which exhibit high temperature resistance. They can operate even at temperatures as high as 230°C or more,
  • Due to their susceptibility to corrosion in a humid environment, we recommend using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials when using them outdoors,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk to health from tiny fragments of magnets can be dangerous, when accidentally ingested, which is particularly important in the context of children's health. It's also worth noting that small elements of these magnets can complicate diagnosis when they are in the body.

Exercise Caution with Neodymium Magnets

Keep neodymium magnets as far away as possible from GPS and smartphones.

Intense magnetic fields generated by neodymium magnets interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Do not place neodymium magnets near a computer HDD, TV, and wallet.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can destroy magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also destroy videos, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Do not forget to keep neodymium magnets at a safe distance from these electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets can demagnetize at high temperatures.

In certain circumstances, Neodymium magnets can lose their magnetism when subjected to high temperatures.

Magnets will attract to each other, so remember not to allow them to pinch together without control or place your fingers in their path.

Magnets will crack or alternatively crumble with uncontrolled connecting to each other. Remember not to move them to each other or have them firmly in hands at a distance less than 10 cm.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest, most remarkable magnets on earth, and the surprising force between them can surprise you at first.

Please review the information on how to handle neodymium magnets and avoid significant harm to your body, as well as prevent unintentional disruption to the magnets.

Magnets should not be treated as toys. Therefore, it is not recommended for children to have access to them.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. You cannot allow them to become toys for children. In such a situation, surgery is necessary to remove them. In the worst case scenario, it can result in death.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Avoid drilling or mechanical processing of neodymium magnets. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets are not recommended for people with pacemakers.

Neodymium magnets produce strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a heart pacemaker. However, if the magnetic field does not affect the device, it can damage its components or deactivate the device when it is in a magnetic field.

The magnet coating is made of nickel, so be cautious if you have an allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnetic are fragile and can easily break and get damaged.

Neodymium magnets are characterized by considerable fragility. Neodymium magnets are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel surface, but they are not as hard as steel. At the moment of connection between the magnets, sharp metal fragments can be dispersed in different directions.

To raise awareness of why neodymium magnets are so dangerous, read the article titled How very dangerous are very strong neodymium magnets?.
