The ideal choice would be neodymium magnets pin intended for magnetic boards, which are characterized by outstanding strength of [N38] material when used on a magnetic board, and they stand out in terms of both wide color spectrum such as black, white, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and different sizes. Our magnetic pieces feature magnets of optimal size in relation to their plastic components, ensuring excellent adhesion. The dimensions of the magnets range from smaller ones with an 11 mm diameter to larger ones reaching 29 mm, with heights ranging from 17 mm to 38 mm. Additionally, our pricing policy is diversified depending on the quantity of units ordered, allowing for attractive terms for larger orders.

Shopping tips

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

In addition to immense strength, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose strength over time. After approximately 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • In other words, thanks to the shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element acquires an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • By using an appropriate combination of materials, they can achieve significant thermal resistance, allowing them to operate at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping and the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes or sizes, which enhances their versatility in applications.
  • Wide application in advanced technologically fields – are used in computer drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical apparatus and very highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break as they are fragile when subjected to a powerful impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, it is suggested using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and simultaneously increases its overall strength,
  • Magnets lose their power due to exposure to high temperatures. In most cases, when the temperature exceeds 80°C, these magnets experience permanent loss in strength (although it is worth noting that this is dependent on the form and size of the magnet). To avoid this problem, we offer special magnets marked with the [AH] symbol, which exhibit high temperature resistance. They can operate even at temperatures as high as 230°C or more,
  • Magnets exposed to a humid environment can corrode. Therefore, when using them outdoors, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials,
  • The use of a cover or a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited possibilities of manufacturing threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk to health from tiny fragments of magnets pose a threat, when accidentally ingested, which is particularly important in the context of child safety. Furthermore, miniscule components of these devices have the potential to complicate diagnosis in case of swallowing.

Handle with Care: Neodymium Magnets

Neodymium magnets are primarily characterized by their significant internal force. They attract to each other, and any object that comes in their way will be affected.

Neodymium magnets bounce and also touch each other mutually within a distance of several to around 10 cm from each other.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest magnets ever invented. Their power can surprise you.

On our website, you can find information on how to use neodymium magnets. This will help you avoid injuries and prevent damage to the magnets.

Magnets made of neodymium are especially delicate, which leads to shattering.

Neodymium magnets are highly fragile, and by joining them in an uncontrolled manner, they will crack. Neodymium magnets are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel, but they are not as durable as steel. At the moment of connection between the magnets, small metal fragments can be dispersed in different directions.

Keep neodymium magnets away from youngest children.

Remember that neodymium magnets are not toys. Be cautious and make sure no child plays with them. In the case of swallowing multiple magnets simultaneously, they can attract to each other through the intestinal walls. In the worst case scenario, this can lead to death.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be placed near a computer HDD, TV, and wallet.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also damage videos, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Do not forget to keep neodymium magnets at a safe distance from these electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets can demagnetize at high temperatures.

Although magnets have demonstrated their effectiveness up to 80°C or 175°F, the temperature can vary depending on the type, shape, and intended use of the specific magnet.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. Once crushed into fine powder or dust, this material becomes highly flammable.

Do not bring neodymium magnets close to GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation for air and sea transport, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Keep neodymium magnets away from people with pacemakers.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This happens because such devices have a function to deactivate them in a magnetic field.

Avoid contact with neodymium magnets if you have a nickel allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

To raise awareness of why neodymium magnets are so dangerous, read the article titled How dangerous are powerful neodymium magnets?.
