The ideal choice would be neodymium magnets pin intended for magnetic boards, which are characterized by outstanding power of [N38] material when used on a magnetic board, and they stand out in terms of both color variety such as black, white, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and different sizes. Our magnetic pieces feature magnets of optimal size in relation to their plastic components, ensuring excellent adhesion. The dimensions of the magnets range from smaller ones with an 11 mm diameter to larger ones reaching 29 mm, with heights ranging from 17 mm to 38 mm. Additionally, our pricing policy varies depending on the quantity of units ordered, allowing for economical solutions for wholesale purchases.

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense strength, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose their strength (of the magnet). After about 10 years, their power decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • By applying a shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They possess very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they can operate (depending on the form) even at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping and the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in various forms and dimensions, which expands the range of their possible uses.
  • Wide application in advanced technologically fields – find application in computer drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical apparatus and very highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are prone to breaking as they are extremely fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a metal holder. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and simultaneously increases its overall strength,
  • Magnets lose their strength due to exposure to high temperatures. In most cases, when the temperature exceeds 80°C, these magnets experience permanent loss in strength (although it is worth noting that this is dependent on the shape and size of the magnet). To avoid this problem, we offer special magnets marked with the [AH] symbol, which exhibit high temperature resistance. They can operate even at temperatures as high as 230°C or more,
  • They rust in a humid environment. For outdoor use, we recommend using waterproof magnets, such as those made of rubber or plastic,
  • Limited ability to create threads or complex shapes in the magnet - the use of a housing is recommended - magnetic holder
  • Health risk to health from tiny fragments of magnets can be dangerous, in case of ingestion, which is crucial in the aspect of protecting young children. It's also worth noting that tiny parts of these products have the potential to hinder the diagnostic process when they are in the body.

Precautions

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be brought close to GPS and smartphones.

Neodymium magnets produce strong magnetic fields that interfere with magnetometers and compasses used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Magnets made of neodymium are extremely fragile, resulting in their cracking.

Magnets made of neodymium are fragile and will shatter if allowed to collide with each other, even from a distance of a few centimeters. They are coated with a shiny nickel plating similar to steel, but they are not as hard. In the case of a collision between two magnets, there can be a scattering of small sharp metal fragments in different directions. Protecting your eyes is essential.

Neodymium magnets are primarily characterized by their significant internal force. They attract to each other, and any object that comes in their way will be affected.

If joining of neodymium magnets is not under control, then they may crumble and crack. Remember not to approach them to each other or have them firmly in hands at a distance less than 10 cm.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are highly flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets should not be near people with pacemakers.

In the case of neodymium magnets, there is a strong magnetic field. As a result, it interferes with the operation of a heart pacemaker. Even if the magnetic field does not affect the device, it can damage its components or deactivate the entire device.

You should maintain neodymium magnets at a safe distance from the wallet, computer, and TV.

Strong magnetic fields emitted by neodymium magnets can destroy magnetic storage media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, video tapes, or other devices. In addition, they can damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors, and CRT displays. Avoid placing neodymium magnets in close proximity to electronic devices.

Magnets are not toys, children should not play with them.

Not all neodymium magnets are toys, so do not let children play with them. In the case of small magnets, they can be swallowed and cause choking. In such cases, the only solution is to undergo surgery to remove the magnets, and otherwise, it can even lead to death.

Neodymium magnets can demagnetize at high temperatures.

Although magnets have shown to retain their effectiveness up to 80°C or 175°F, this temperature may vary depending on the type of material, shape, and intended use of the magnet.

The magnet is coated with nickel - be careful if you have an allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, try wearing gloves or avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets are among the strongest magnets on Earth. The surprising force they generate between each other can shock you.

Make sure to review all the information we have provided. This will help you avoid harm to your body and damage to the magnets.
