The best choice would be neodymium magnets pin intended for magnetic boards, which are characterized by outstanding strength of [N38] material when used on a magnetic board, and they stand out in terms of both color variety such as black, white, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and different sizes. Our magnetic pieces feature magnets of optimal size in relation to their plastic components, ensuring efficient attachment. The dimensions of the magnets range from smaller ones with an 11 mm diameter to larger ones reaching 29 mm, with heights ranging from 17 mm to 38 mm. Additionally, our pricing policy varies depending on the quantity of units ordered, allowing for cost-effective acquisition of larger quantities.

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

In addition to immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose strength over time. After 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are exceptionally resistant to demagnetization caused by an external magnetic field,
  • In other words, thanks to the shiny nickel, gold, or silver finish, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • By using an appropriate combination of materials, they can achieve high thermal resistance, allowing them to operate at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • The ability for precise shaping and customization to specific needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in various forms and dimensions, which amplifies their universality in usage.
  • Key role in the industry of new technologies – are utilized in HDD drives, electric motors, medical devices or other modern machines.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are prone to breaking as they are fragile when subjected to a powerful impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and simultaneously increases its overall strength,
  • They lose power at high temperatures. Most neodymium magnets experience permanent loss of strength when heated above 80°C (depending on the form and height). However, we also offer special magnets with high temperature resistance, up to 230°C,
  • Magnets exposed to a humid environment can corrode. Therefore, when using them outdoors, we recommend using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk arising from small pieces of magnets pose a threat, in case of ingestion, which is crucial in the context of child safety. Furthermore, tiny parts of these products are able to hinder the diagnostic process after entering the body.

Exercise Caution with Neodymium Magnets

People with pacemakers are advised to avoid neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This is because many of these devices are equipped with a function that deactivates the device in a magnetic field.

Do not give neodymium magnets to children.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. Be cautious and make sure no child plays with them. They can be a significant choking hazard. If multiple magnets are swallowed, they can attract to each other through the intestinal walls, causing severe injuries, and even death.

Keep neodymium magnets away from GPS and smartphones.

Neodymium magnets produce strong magnetic fields that interfere with magnetometers and compasses used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Keep neodymium magnets away from TV, wallet, and computer HDD.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also damage devices like video players, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Do not forget to keep neodymium magnets at a safe distance from these electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

Despite the general resilience of magnets, their ability to retain their magnetic strength can be influenced by factors like the type of material used, the magnet's shape, and the intended purpose for which it is employed.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium Magnets can attract to each other due to their immense internal force, causing the skin and other body parts to get pinched and resulting in significant swellings.

Magnets will attract each other within a distance of several to around 10 cm from each other. Don't put your fingers in the path of magnet attraction, because a serious injury may occur. Depending on how massive the neodymium magnets are, they can lead to a cut or alternatively a fracture.

Neodymium magnets are among the strongest magnets on Earth. The surprising force they generate between each other can shock you.

On our website, you can find information on how to use neodymium magnets. This will help you avoid injuries and prevent damage to the magnets.

Neodymium magnets are especially delicate, which leads to their breakage.

Neodymium magnets are fragile as well as will break if allowed to collide with each other, even from a distance of a few centimeters. They are coated with a shiny nickel plating similar to steel, but they are not as hard. At the moment of connection between the magnets, tiny sharp metal fragments can be propelled in various directions at high speed. Eye protection is recommended.

The magnet is coated with nickel. Therefore, exercise caution if you have an allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.
