The most recommended holders for ID badges include options such as this UI 45x13x6 [Z323] / N38. They ensure security and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic holders are considered as ideal because they are gentle on clothing, are simple to mount, and provide secure badge attachment. A model utilizing efficient neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is particularly suggested.
No!, magnetic holders should not be used for individuals with cardiac pacemakers, as the strong magnetic field may disrupt their functioning. For such individuals, it is advised to use clip-on holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

In addition to immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose power over time. After about 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are exceptionally resistant to demagnetization caused by an external magnetic field,
  • Thanks to the shiny finish and nickel, gold, or silver coating, they have an aesthetic appearance,
  • They possess very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Magnetic neodymium magnets are characterized by very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet and can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures of 230°C or higher...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping and the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes or sizes, which amplifies their universality in usage.
  • Key role in advanced technologically fields – find application in HDD drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical apparatus and various technologically advanced devices.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are prone to breaking as they are extremely fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and simultaneously increases its overall strength,
  • High temperatures can reduce the strength of neodymium magnets. Typically, after heating above 80°C, most of them experience a permanent reduction in strength (although it is dependent on the form and size). To prevent this, we offer special magnets marked with the symbol [AH], which are highly resistant to high temperatures. They can operate even at temperatures up to 230°C, making them an ideal solution for applications requiring high-temperature operation,
  • Magnets exposed to a humid environment can corrode. Therefore, when using them outdoors, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk arising from small pieces of magnets pose a threat, when accidentally ingested, which becomes significant in the context of children's health. Additionally, tiny parts of these devices have the potential to complicate diagnosis when they are in the body.

Exercise Caution with Neodymium Magnets

People with pacemakers are advised to avoid neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This happens because such devices have a function to deactivate them in a magnetic field.

It is crucial not to allow the magnets to pinch together uncontrollably or place your fingers in their path as they attract to each other.

Magnets will attract each other within a distance of several to around 10 cm from each other. Remember not to place fingers between magnets or in their path when attract. Depending on how large the neodymium magnets are, they can lead to a cut or alternatively a fracture.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnetic are highly susceptible to damage, resulting in breaking.

Neodymium magnets are characterized by significant fragility. Neodymium magnetic are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel, but they are not as durable as steel. In the event of a collision between two magnets, there may be a scattering of fragments in different directions. Protecting your eyes is crucial in such a situation.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

In certain circumstances, Neodymium magnets can lose their magnetism when subjected to high temperatures.

Magnets should not be treated as toys. Therefore, it is not recommended for youngest children to have access to them.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. You cannot allow them to become toys for children. In such a situation, surgery is necessary to remove them. In the worst case scenario, it can result in death.

Comparing neodymium magnets to ferrite magnets (found in speakers), they are 10 times stronger, and their power can surprise you.

On our website, you can find information on how to use neodymium magnets. This will help you avoid injuries and prevent damage to the magnets.

The magnet is coated with nickel - be careful if you have an allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Keep neodymium magnets away from the wallet, computer, and TV.

Strong fields generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic storage media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, video tapes, or other similar devices. In addition, they can damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors, and CRT displays. You should especially avoid placing neodymium magnets near electronic devices.

Do not bring neodymium magnets close to GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation for air and sea transport, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.
