The most recommended mountings for ID badges include options such as this UI 40x12x7 [CA]. They guarantee resilience and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic mounts are valued as optimal because they protect clothing, are user-friendly, and provide secure badge attachment. A model using efficient neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is exceptionally recommended.
No!, magnetic holders should not be used for individuals with heart implants, as the strong magnetic field may interfere with their functioning. For such individuals, it is advised to use clip-on holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Product suggestions

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose their power (of the magnet). After approximately 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • In other words, thanks to the shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element acquires an aesthetic appearance,
  • They exhibit very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • The ability for precise shaping or customization to specific needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in various forms and dimensions, which enhances their versatility in applications.
  • Significant importance in advanced technologically fields – are used in HDD drives, electric motors, medical apparatus and very advanced devices.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break as they are fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, it is suggested using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and simultaneously increases its overall strength,
  • Magnets lose their power due to exposure to high temperatures. In most cases, when the temperature exceeds 80°C, these magnets experience permanent loss in strength (although it is worth noting that this is dependent on the form and size of the magnet). To avoid this problem, we offer special magnets marked with the [AH] symbol, which exhibit high temperature resistance. They can operate even at temperatures as high as 230°C or more,
  • Due to their susceptibility to corrosion in a humid environment, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials when using them outdoors,
  • Limited ability to create threads or complex shapes in the magnet - the use of a housing is recommended - magnetic holder
  • Possible danger arising from small pieces of magnets can be dangerous, when accidentally ingested, which is crucial in the context of children's health. It's also worth noting that miniscule components of these magnets can be problematic in medical diagnosis after entering the body.

Safety Precautions

Neodymium magnets are over 10 times more powerful than ferrite magnets (the ones in speakers), and their strength can shock you.

To use magnets properly, it is best to familiarize yourself with our information beforehand. This will help you avoid significant harm to your body and the magnets themselves.

Keep neodymium magnets away from the wallet, computer, and TV.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can destroy magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also damage videos, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Do not forget to keep neodymium magnets at a safe distance from these electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

Although magnets have shown to retain their effectiveness up to 80°C or 175°F, this temperature may vary depending on the type of material, shape, and intended use of the magnet.

Keep neodymium magnets away from people with pacemakers.

In the case of neodymium magnets, there is a strong magnetic field. As a result, it interferes with the operation of a heart pacemaker. Even if the magnetic field does not affect the device, it can damage its components or deactivate the entire device.

The magnet is coated with nickel. Therefore, exercise caution if you have an allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnetic are highly susceptible to damage, resulting in their cracking.

Neodymium magnetic are highly delicate, and by joining them in an uncontrolled manner, they will crack. Neodymium magnets are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel surface, but they are not as hard as steel. At the moment of connection between the magnets, sharp metal fragments can be dispersed in different directions.

Magnets are not toys, youngest should not play with them.

Not all neodymium magnets are toys, so do not let children play with them. In the case of small magnets, they can be swallowed and cause choking. In such cases, the only solution is to undergo surgery to remove the magnets, and otherwise, it can even lead to death.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be brought close to GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields generated by neodymium magnets interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Magnets will attract to each other, so remember not to allow them to pinch together without control or place your fingers in their path.

Magnets will crack or alternatively crumble with careless connecting to each other. You can't move them to each other. At a distance less than 10 cm you should have them very firmly.

Please see the article - What danger lies in neodymium magnets? You will learn how to handle them properly.
