The most recommended mountings for ID badges include options such as this UI 40x12x7 [CA]. They guarantee durability and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic holders are considered as optimal because they do not damage clothing, are user-friendly, and provide strong badge attachment. A model using efficient neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is exceptionally suggested.
No!, magnetic holders are not recommended for individuals with cardiac pacemakers, as the strong magnetic field can affect their functioning. In this situation, it is recommended to use non-magnetic holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Advantages and disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense strength, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose power over time. After 10 years, their power decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are extremely resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • Thanks to the shiny finish and nickel, gold, or silver coating, they have an aesthetic appearance,
  • They exhibit very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Magnetic neodymium magnets are characterized by very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet and can operate (depending on the form) even at temperatures of 230°C or higher...
  • Due to the option of accurate forming or adaptation to individual needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes or sizes, which enhances their versatility in applications.
  • Significant importance in the industry of new technologies – find application in HDD drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical devices or other highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts, and at the same time increases its overall strength,
  • High temperatures can reduce the strength of neodymium magnets. Typically, after heating above 80°C, most of them experience a permanent reduction in strength (although it is dependent on the form and size). To prevent this, we offer special magnets marked with the symbol [AH], which are highly resistant to high temperatures. They can operate even at temperatures up to 230°C, making them an ideal solution for applications requiring high-temperature operation,
  • Due to their susceptibility to corrosion in a humid environment, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials when using them outdoors,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk associated with microscopic parts of magnets are risky, when accidentally ingested, which is particularly important in the context of children's health. Additionally, miniscule components of these products can hinder the diagnostic process when they are in the body.

Handle Neodymium Magnets Carefully

Neodymium magnets can demagnetize at high temperatures.

Although magnets have demonstrated their effectiveness up to 80°C or 175°F, the temperature can vary depending on the type, shape, and intended use of the specific magnet.

The magnet coating contains nickel, so be cautious if you have a nickel allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Comparing neodymium magnets to ferrite magnets (found in speakers), they are 10 times more powerful, and their power can shock you.

On our website, you can find information on how to use neodymium magnets. This will help you avoid injuries and prevent damage to the magnets.

Neodymium magnetic are characterized by their fragility, which can cause them to shatter.

Neodymium magnetic are fragile as well as will shatter if allowed to collide with each other, even from a distance of a few centimeters. Despite being made of metal as well as coated with a shiny nickel plating, they are not as hard as steel. At the moment of collision between the magnets, small sharp metal fragments can be propelled in various directions at high speed. Eye protection is recommended.

Keep neodymium magnets away from the wallet, computer, and TV.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, etc. devices. They can also damage devices like video players, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Remember not to place neodymium magnets close to these electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets should not be near people with pacemakers.

In the case of neodymium magnets, there is a strong magnetic field. As a result, it interferes with the operation of a heart pacemaker. However, if the magnetic field does not affect the device, it can damage its components or deactivate the device when it is in a magnetic field.

It is crucial not to allow the magnets to pinch together uncontrollably or place your fingers in their path as they attract to each other.

If joining of neodymium magnets is not controlled, at that time they may crumble and crack. Remember not to approach them to each other or have them firmly in hands at a distance less than 10 cm.

Keep neodymium magnets away from children.

Remember that neodymium magnets are not toys. Do not allow children to play with them. They can be a significant choking hazard. If multiple magnets are swallowed, they can attract to each other through the intestinal walls, causing severe injuries, and even death.

Do not bring neodymium magnets close to GPS and smartphones.

Strong fields generated by neodymium magnets interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Avoid drilling or mechanical processing of neodymium magnets. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.
