The most preferred holders for ID badges include options such as this UI 40x12x7 [CA]. They ensure resilience and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic holders are valued as ideal because they do not damage clothing, are user-friendly, and provide secure badge attachment. A model equipped with efficient neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is particularly recommended.
No!, magnetic holders should not be used for individuals with implanted cardiac devices, as the strong magnetic field can affect their functioning. In such cases, it is advised to use clip-on holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Product suggestions

Advantages and disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose strength over time - after 10 years, their power decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic sources,
  • By applying a shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Magnetic neodymium magnets are characterized by very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet and can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures of 230°C or higher...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping or the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in various forms and dimensions, which expands the range of their possible uses.
  • Wide application in advanced technologically fields – are used in HDD drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical devices and other highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and at the same time increases its overall strength,
  • High temperatures can reduce the power of neodymium magnets. Typically, after heating above 80°C, most of them experience a permanent reduction in strength (although it is dependent on the form and size). To prevent this, we offer special magnets marked with the symbol [AH], which are highly resistant to high temperatures. They can operate even at temperatures up to 230°C, making them an ideal solution for applications requiring high-temperature operation,
  • They rust in a humid environment. For outdoor use, we recommend using waterproof magnets, such as those made of rubber or plastic,
  • The use of a cover or a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited possibilities of manufacturing threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Potential hazard to health from tiny fragments of magnets can be dangerous, when accidentally ingested, which is particularly important in the aspect of protecting young children. Additionally, tiny parts of these magnets can hinder the diagnostic process when they are in the body.

Handle Neodymium Magnets Carefully

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. Once crushed into fine powder or dust, this material becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest magnets ever invented. Their strength can surprise you.

On our website, you can find information on how to use neodymium magnets. This will help you avoid injuries and prevent damage to the magnets.

Neodymium Magnets can attract to each other due to their immense internal force, causing the skin and other body parts to get pinched and resulting in significant swellings.

Magnets will attract each other within a distance of several to around 10 cm from each other. Don't put your fingers in the path of magnet attraction, because a major injury may occur. Magnets, depending on their size, are able even cut off a finger or there can be a severe pressure or even a fracture.

Neodymium magnets can demagnetize at high temperatures.

Even though magnets have been found to maintain their efficacy up to temperatures of 80°C or 175°F, it's essential to consider that this threshold may fluctuate depending on the magnet's type, configuration, and intended usage.

Keep neodymium magnets away from the wallet, computer, and TV.

Strong fields generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic storage media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, video tapes, or other similar devices. In addition, they can damage televisions, VCRs, computer monitors, and CRT displays. You should especially avoid placing neodymium magnets near electronic devices.

The magnet coating is made of nickel, so be cautious if you have an allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets should not be around children.

Remember that neodymium magnets are not toys. Be cautious and make sure no child plays with them. In the case of swallowing multiple magnets simultaneously, they can attract to each other through the intestinal walls. In the worst case scenario, this can lead to death.

Keep neodymium magnets as far away as possible from GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation for air and sea transport, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Neodymium magnetic are especially fragile, which leads to their breakage.

In the event of a collision between two neodymium magnets, it can result in them getting chipped. They are coated with a shiny nickel plating similar to steel, but they are not as hard. At the moment of collision between the magnets, small sharp metal pieces can be propelled in various directions at high speed. Eye protection is recommended.

People with pacemakers are advised to avoid neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets produce strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a heart pacemaker. However, if the magnetic field does not affect the device, it can damage its components or deactivate the device when it is in a magnetic field.

To raise awareness of why neodymium magnets are so dangerous, read the article titled How very dangerous are strong neodymium magnets?.
