The most recommended holders for ID badges include options such as this UI 39x9x7 [BA]. They offer resilience and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic holders are considered as the best because they protect clothing, are simple to mount, and provide secure badge attachment. A model equipped with efficient neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is exceptionally recommended.
No!, magnetic holders are not recommended for individuals with cardiac pacemakers, as the strong magnetic field can affect their functioning. In this situation, it is recommended to use alternative fastening methods, and we offer two such types in our range.

Shopping tips

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense strength, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose their strength (of the magnet). After approximately 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They protect against demagnetization caused by external magnetic sources extremely well,
  • In other words, thanks to the shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element acquires an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they can operate (depending on the form) even at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • The ability for precise shaping or customization to specific needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in a wide range of shapes and sizes, which enhances their versatility in applications.
  • Significant importance in the industry of new technologies – are used in hard drives, electric motors, medical devices or other highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break as they are extremely fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a protective case. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and also increases its overall strength,
  • They lose strength at high temperatures. Most neodymium magnets experience permanent loss of strength when heated above 80°C (depending on the shape and height). However, we also offer special magnets with high temperature resistance, up to 230°C,
  • Magnets exposed to a humid environment can corrode. Therefore, when using them outdoors, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials,
  • Limited ability to create threads or complex shapes in the magnet - the use of a housing is recommended - magnetic holder
  • Potential hazard to health from tiny fragments of magnets are risky, if swallowed, which becomes significant in the context of child safety. Furthermore, tiny parts of these products have the potential to hinder the diagnostic process when they are in the body.

Caution with Neodymium Magnets

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Avoid drilling or mechanical processing of neodymium magnets. Once crushed into fine powder or dust, this material becomes highly flammable.

The magnet is coated with nickel - be careful if you have an allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be placed near a computer HDD, TV, and wallet.

Neodymium magnets generate intense magnetic fields that can destroy magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, etc. devices. They can also damage videos, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Remember not to place neodymium magnets close to these electronic devices.

Keep neodymium magnets away from GPS and smartphones.

Neodymium magnets produce intense magnetic fields that interfere with magnetometers and compasses used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

Although magnets have demonstrated their effectiveness up to 80°C or 175°F, the temperature can vary depending on the type, shape, and intended use of the specific magnet.

Magnets will attract to each other, so remember not to allow them to pinch together without control or place your fingers in their path.

If joining of neodymium magnets is not under control, then they may crumble and also crack. You can't approach them to each other. At a distance less than 10 cm you should have them extremely strongly.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest magnets ever created, and their power can shock you.

On our website, you can find information on how to use neodymium magnets. This will help you avoid injuries and prevent damage to the magnets.

Neodymium magnets are not recommended for people with pacemakers.

In the case of neodymium magnets, there is a strong magnetic field. As a result, it interferes with the operation of a heart pacemaker. However, if the magnetic field does not affect the device, it can damage its components or deactivate the device when it is in a magnetic field.

Magnets made of neodymium are incredibly delicate, they easily fall apart and can crumble.

Neodymium magnets are characterized by significant fragility. Neodymium magnetic are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel, but they are not as durable as steel. At the moment of connection between the magnets, sharp metal fragments can be dispersed in different directions.

Magnets are not toys, youngest should not play with them.

Not all neodymium magnets are toys, so do not let children play with them. In such a situation, surgery is necessary to remove them. In the worst case scenario, it can result in death.
