The most recommended holders for ID badges include options such as this UI 39x9x7 [BA]. They ensure security and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic holders are valued as ideal because they do not damage clothing, are simple to mount, and provide secure badge attachment. A model using potent neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is exceptionally recommended.
No!, magnetic holders are not recommended for individuals with heart implants, as the strong magnetic field may interfere with their functioning. For such individuals, it is advised to use non-magnetic holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Shopping tips

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose strength over time. After 10 years, their power decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • By applying a shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • Due to the option of accurate forming and adaptation to individual needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in a wide range of shapes and sizes, which amplifies their universality in usage.
  • Key role in the industry of new technologies – are used in computer drives, electric motors, medical equipment and other highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are fragile when subjected to a powerful impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a steel housing. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and at the same time increases its overall strength,
  • Magnets lose their power due to exposure to high temperatures. In most cases, when the temperature exceeds 80°C, these magnets experience permanent reduction in strength (although it is worth noting that this is dependent on the shape and size of the magnet). To avoid this problem, we offer special magnets marked with the [AH] symbol, which exhibit high temperature resistance. They can operate even at temperatures as high as 230°C or more,
  • Due to their susceptibility to corrosion in a humid environment, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials when using them outdoors,
  • Limited ability to create threads or complex shapes in the magnet - the use of a housing is recommended - magnetic holder
  • Potential hazard to health from tiny fragments of magnets pose a threat, when accidentally ingested, which becomes significant in the aspect of protecting young children. It's also worth noting that miniscule components of these products can complicate diagnosis when they are in the body.

Handle Neodymium Magnets with Caution

Keep neodymium magnets as far away as possible from GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields generated by neodymium magnets interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Make sure not to bring neodymium magnets close to the TV, wallet, and computer HDD.

Neodymium magnets produce strong magnetic fields that can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also damage devices like video players, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Remember not to place neodymium magnets close to these electronic devices.

Avoid contact with neodymium magnets if you have a nickel allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, try wearing gloves or avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets are primarily characterized by their significant internal force. They attract to each other, and any object that comes in their way will be affected.

Magnets will bounce and clash together within a radius of several to almost 10 cm from each other.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets should not be near people with pacemakers.

Neodymium magnets generate strong magnetic fields. As a result, they interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This is because many of these devices are equipped with a function that deactivates the device in a magnetic field.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

While Neodymium magnets can lose their magnetic properties at high temperatures, it's important to note that the extent of this effect can vary based on factors such as the magnet's material, shape, and intended application.

Do not give neodymium magnets to youngest children.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. You cannot allow them to become toys for children. Small magnets pose a serious choking hazard or can attract to each other in the intestines. In such cases, the only solution is to undergo surgery to remove the magnets, and otherwise, it can even lead to death.

Neodymium magnets are the most powerful magnets ever created, and their strength can surprise you.

Please review the information on how to handle neodymium magnets and avoid significant harm to your body, as well as prevent unintentional damage to the magnets.

Neodymium magnets are especially delicate, resulting in shattering.

Magnets made of neodymium are fragile and will break if allowed to collide with each other, even from a distance of a few centimeters. They are coated with a shiny nickel plating similar to steel, but they are not as hard. At the moment of connection between the magnets, tiny sharp metal pieces can be propelled in various directions at high speed. Eye protection is recommended.

In order for you to know how strong neodymium magnets are and why they are so dangerous, see the article - Dangerous very powerful neodymium magnets.
