The most recommended holders for ID badges include options such as this UI 17.5x5 [C310] / N38. They ensure security and an aesthetic appearance. Magnetic mounts are considered as ideal because they protect clothing, are user-friendly, and provide stable badge attachment. A model using powerful neodymium magnets and high-quality adhesive tapes, such as 3M tape, is particularly suggested.
No!, magnetic holders should not be used for individuals with implanted cardiac devices, as the strong magnetic field can affect their functioning. In this situation, it is advised to use clip-on holders, and we offer two such types in our range.

Advantages and disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense strength, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose strength over time - after 10 years, their power decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic sources,
  • Thanks to the shiny finish and nickel, gold, or silver coating, they have an aesthetic appearance,
  • They exhibit very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Magnetic neodymium magnets are characterized by very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet and can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures of 230°C or higher...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping and the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes and sizes, which amplifies their universality in usage.
  • Wide application in the industry of new technologies – are used in computer drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical equipment and other advanced devices.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They are fragile when subjected to a strong impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a steel housing. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts, and at the same time increases its overall strength,
  • They lose power at high temperatures. Most neodymium magnets experience permanent loss of strength when heated above 80°C (depending on the shape and height). However, we also offer special magnets with high temperature resistance, up to 230°C,
  • Magnets exposed to a humid environment can corrode. Therefore, when using them outdoors, we suggest using waterproof magnets made of rubber, plastic, or other moisture-resistant materials,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Potential hazard to health from tiny fragments of magnets can be dangerous, in case of ingestion, which is crucial in the context of child safety. It's also worth noting that miniscule components of these magnets can complicate diagnosis after entering the body.

Exercise Caution with Neodymium Magnets

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

Although magnets have demonstrated their effectiveness up to 80°C or 175°F, the temperature can vary depending on the type, shape, and intended use of the specific magnet.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be placed near a computer HDD, TV, and wallet.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, etc. devices. They can also damage devices like video players, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Remember not to place neodymium magnets close to these electronic devices.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be brought close to GPS and smartphones.

Magnetic fields interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation for air and sea transport, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

People with pacemakers are advised to avoid neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This happens because such devices have a function to deactivate them in a magnetic field.

Neodymium Magnets can attract to each other, pinch the skin, and cause significant injuries.

Neodymium magnets bounce and also touch each other mutually within a distance of several to almost 10 cm from each other.

If you have a nickel allergy, avoid contact with neodymium magnets.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, try wearing gloves or avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. Once crushed into fine powder or dust, this material becomes highly flammable.

It is important to maintain neodymium magnets out of reach from children.

Not all neodymium magnets are toys, so do not let children play with them. In such a situation, surgery is necessary to remove them. In the worst case scenario, it can result in death.

Neodymium magnetic are delicate as well as can easily crack as well as get damaged.

In the event of a collision between two neodymium magnets, it can result in them getting chipped. They are coated with a shiny nickel plating similar to steel, but they are not as hard. In the case of a collision between two magnets, there can be a scattering of small sharp metal fragments in different directions. Protecting your eyes is essential.

Neodymium magnets are among the strongest magnets on Earth. The astonishing force they generate between each other can surprise you.

To use magnets properly, it is best to familiarize yourself with our information beforehand. This will help you avoid significant harm to your body and the magnets themselves.
