Due to unique properties, MP 40x22x10 / N38 in a ring form finds extensive use in various industries. Thanks to a powerful magnetic field of 12.54 kg, which can be described as lifting capacity, they are extremely useful in applications that require high magnetic power in a relatively small area. Usage of MP 40x22x10 / N38 magnets include electric motors, generating systems, sound devices, and numerous other devices that use magnets for generating motion or storing energy. Despite their significant strength, they have a comparatively low weight of 65.74 grams, which makes them more practical compared to heavier alternatives.

Product suggestions

Advantages and disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

In addition to immense strength, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose strength over time - after about 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are extremely resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • In other words, thanks to the shiny nickel, gold, or silver finish, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have very high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • Thanks to their high temperature resistance, they can operate (depending on the shape) even at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • Thanks to the flexibility in shaping or the ability to adapt to specific requirements – neodymium magnets can be produced in a wide range of shapes and sizes, which enhances their versatility in applications.
  • Wide application in modern technologies – are used in HDD drives, electric drive mechanisms, medical apparatus or other modern machines.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break as they are extremely fragile when subjected to a powerful impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, we recommend using magnets in a metal holder. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and simultaneously increases its overall strength,
  • High temperatures can reduce the strength of neodymium magnets. Typically, after heating above 80°C, most of them experience a permanent loss in strength (although it is dependent on the form and size). To prevent this, we offer special magnets marked with the symbol [AH], which are highly resistant to high temperatures. They can operate even at temperatures up to 230°C, making them an ideal solution for applications requiring high-temperature operation,
  • They rust in a humid environment. For outdoor use, we recommend using waterproof magnets, such as those made of rubber or plastic,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Health risk associated with microscopic parts of magnets are risky, when accidentally ingested, which is crucial in the aspect of protecting young children. Additionally, miniscule components of these devices can be problematic in medical diagnosis after entering the body.

Safety Precautions

People with pacemakers are advised to avoid neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This is because many of these devices are equipped with a function that deactivates the device in a magnetic field.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. If the magnet is crushed into fine powder or dust, it becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets are particularly fragile, resulting in their breakage.

Neodymium magnetic are highly fragile, and by joining them in an uncontrolled manner, they will break. Neodymium magnets are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel surface, but they are not as hard as steel. In the event of a collision between two magnets, there may be a scattering of fragments in different directions. Protecting your eyes is crucial in such a situation.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

While Neodymium magnets can lose their magnetic properties at high temperatures, it's important to note that the extent of this effect can vary based on factors such as the magnet's material, shape, and intended application.

Under no circumstances should neodymium magnets be brought close to GPS and smartphones.

Neodymium magnets are a source of intense magnetic fields that cause interference with magnetometers and compasses used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

Make sure not to bring neodymium magnets close to the TV, wallet, and computer HDD.

Neodymium magnets generate strong magnetic fields that can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also damage videos, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Do not forget to keep neodymium magnets away from these electronic devices.

Neodymium magnets are the most powerful magnets ever created, and their power can surprise you.

Make sure to review all the information we have provided. This will help you avoid harm to your body and damage to the magnets.

Magnets are not toys, youngest should not play with them.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. Be cautious and make sure no child plays with them. They can be a significant choking hazard. If multiple magnets are swallowed, they can attract to each other through the intestinal walls, causing significant injuries, and even death.

Neodymium magnets can attract to each other, pinch the skin, and cause significant injuries.

Magnets will attract each other within a distance of several to around 10 cm from each other. Remember not to put fingers between magnets or alternatively in their path when attract. Depending on how massive the neodymium magnets are, they can lead to a cut or a fracture.

Avoid contact with neodymium magnets if you have a nickel allergy.

Studies show a small percentage of people have allergies to certain metals, including nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.
