Due to specific properties, neodymium magnet MP 25x5x27 / N38 in a ring form finds extensive use in various industries. Thanks to a powerful magnetic field of ${capacity} kg, which can be described as strength, they are extremely useful in applications that require strong magnetism in a relatively small area. Usage of MP 25x5x27 / N38 magnets include electric motors, generators, audio systems, and numerous other devices that use magnets for generating motion or storing energy. Despite their powerful strength, they have a comparatively low weight of ${weight} grams, which makes them more convenient to use compared to bulkier alternatives.

Shopping tips

Advantages as well as disadvantages of neodymium magnets NdFeB.

Apart from immense power, neodymium magnets have the following advantages:

  • They do not lose power over time. After 10 years, their strength decreases by only ~1% (theoretically),
  • They are highly resistant to demagnetization by external magnetic field,
  • By applying a shiny coating of nickel, gold, or silver, the element gains an aesthetic appearance,
  • They have exceptionally high magnetic induction on the surface of the magnet,
  • By using an appropriate combination of materials, they can achieve high thermal resistance, allowing them to operate at temperatures up to 230°C and above...
  • The ability for precise shaping and customization to specific needs – neodymium magnets can be produced in many variants of shapes and sizes, which amplifies their universality in usage.
  • Significant importance in advanced technologically fields – find application in computer drives, electric motors, medical apparatus and very highly developed apparatuses.

Disadvantages of neodymium magnets:

  • They can break as they are fragile when subjected to a powerful impact. If the magnets are exposed to impacts, it is suggested using magnets in a metal holder. The steel housing in the form of a holder protects the magnet from impacts and also increases its overall strength,
  • They lose power at high temperatures. Most neodymium magnets experience permanent loss of strength when heated above 80°C (depending on the form and height). However, we also offer special magnets with high temperature resistance, up to 230°C,
  • They rust in a humid environment - during outdoor use, we recommend using waterproof magnets, such as those made of rubber or plastic,
  • The use of a cover - a magnetic holder is recommended due to the limited production capabilities of creating threads or complex shapes in the magnet
  • Potential hazard arising from small pieces of magnets can be dangerous, if swallowed, which is crucial in the context of child safety. Additionally, miniscule components of these products have the potential to hinder the diagnostic process when they are in the body.

Precautions with Neodymium Magnets

People with pacemakers are advised to avoid neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets generate very strong magnetic fields that can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker. This happens because such devices have a function to deactivate them in a magnetic field.

It is crucial not to allow the magnets to pinch together uncontrollably or place your fingers in their path as they attract to each other.

Magnets will crack or alternatively crumble with careless connecting to each other. You can't approach them to each other. At a distance less than 10 cm you should have them very strongly.

Keep neodymium magnets as far away as possible from GPS and smartphones.

Intense magnetic fields generated by neodymium magnets interfere with compasses and magnetometers used in navigation, as well as internal compasses of smartphones and GPS devices.

You should maintain neodymium magnets at a safe distance from the wallet, computer, and TV.

The strong magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, video tapes, HDDs, credit cards, magnetic ID cards, cassette tapes, or other devices. They can also damage videos, televisions, CRT computer monitors. Remember not to place neodymium magnets close to these electronic devices.

Magnets should not be treated as toys. Therefore, it is not recommended for children to have access to them.

Not all neodymium magnets are toys, so do not let children play with them. In such a situation, surgery is necessary to remove them. In the worst case scenario, it can result in death.

Dust and powder from neodymium magnets are highly flammable.

Do not attempt to drill into neodymium magnets. Mechanical processing is also not recommended. Once crushed into fine powder or dust, this material becomes highly flammable.

Neodymium magnets are the most powerful magnets ever created, and their strength can shock you.

Familiarize yourself with our information to properly handle these magnets and avoid significant swellings to your body and prevent damage to the magnets.

Magnets made of neodymium are known for their fragility, which can cause them to crumble.

Magnets made of neodymium are highly fragile, and by joining them in an uncontrolled manner, they will crumble. Neodymium magnets are made of metal and coated with a shiny nickel surface, but they are not as hard as steel. In the event of a collision between two magnets, there may be a scattering of fragments in different directions. Protecting your eyes is crucial in such a situation.

The magnet coating contains nickel, so be cautious if you have a nickel allergy.

Studies clearly indicate a small percentage of people who suffer from metal allergies such as nickel. An allergic reaction often manifests as skin redness and rash. If you have a nickel allergy, you can try wearing gloves or simply avoid direct contact with nickel-plated neodymium magnets.

Neodymium magnets can become demagnetized at high temperatures.

Despite the general resilience of magnets, their ability to retain their magnetic strength can be influenced by factors like the type of material used, the magnet's shape, and the intended purpose for which it is employed.

Please see the article - What danger lies in neodymium magnets? You will learn how to handle them properly.
